Integrating Stockmanship with Range Management
Learn how to incorporate stockmanship, the skillful handling of livestock in a safe, efficient, low-stress manner, into range and pasture management for economic and environmental benefits. This workshop will provide an overview of how to place livestock on open range with minimal or no fencing using stockmanship. Learn how to build on the basics of stockmanship and how to incorporate it into grazing planning. Presenters will discuss opportunities for how stockmanship can reduce predation from herding and restore native grasslands.
